Floretta Allen is a great listener who reflects back to you what you have said. You then realize what YOU are thinking and feeling about yourself and your circumstances. She has this wonderful way of showing you how you have grown in areas and encouraging you where you feel a little stuck. She has been there for me when I was a caregiver and now as a widow transitioning into a new life. She has a beautiful heart and I appreciate her. -- Cynthia J.

I got to know Floretta in 2018 when my husband passed. That first phone call from her created a friendship forever. She is a woman of God. The talks, prayers and encouraging words helped me to get through my grief. She speaks truth and from the heart because she had also experienced that same loss. She has a passion for what she does. -- Doris S.

I met Floretta 2 years ago shortly after losing my beloved husband unexpectedly.  She was out delivering care packages with other members of the Rhema Christian center care team and someone mentioned me and my recent loss to her. Although I was not on her list of recipients that day, she stopped by anyway.  Standing in my yard feeling broken and alone, Floretta approached me and extended a much needed embrace. Her presence alone gave me hope. I believe God  sent her to me that day.  Floretta has made it a point to meet with me almost weekly to not only pray and encourage me, but to show me what God's love looks like in a friend.  I love her dearly because she truly exemplifies Gods love and grace. -- Toya G.

I had just buried my mom 4 months ago and after 35 years of marriage I came home to find my husband had died. We never had children so, I was so alone and devastated. My family did not live in Columbus and I did not know how to go on. All I could do was concentrate on breathing. Two months after his funeral I get a call, a voice from a stranger that was so full of compassion and love. She would call every night to listen...mostly to me crying and pray for me. This continued for two weeks until I went back to work and to somehow face life without my mom and husband. For years, we were the perfect trio. Flo said there is a purpose in all this and to trust God to reveal it in His perfect time. That He has not and will not leave me and His love for me is there, even though I can't feel it. Months later, she invited me to a church meeting on how to make it through the holidays while dealing with grief. While I cried through much of the meeting, I finally got to meet Flo for the first time. Her eyes were so kind and voice familiar to me by now. At that meeting I also met Beth, who was also a recent widow and we became fast friends. I introduced them to my friend and main support Belinda and we are all now Sisters. Flo continued to invite us to caregiver support activities at her church and we continued to show up for each other at various events. Flo has a true heart for people who are struggling and gives so much of herself without boasting to help you. Everyone who meets her falls in love with her. Along with her love is a strong work ethic and educational pursuit that has broadened the number of people that she will reach! Thank you Jesus, for directing her to me and to feel God's love through her. -- Jolene M.

It was the year 2016

Sept was the month. I had just became a widow. My sister in-law said she wanted me to meet this woman from her Church whom had gone through a similar experience of loss and grief and thought it would be nice if we could talk. I agreed to meet Floreta, she came to my house. We connected immediately. I felt like I had known her for years. She talked and prayed with me and for me constantly it seemed. One day she prayed with me the most anointed, powerful ,right on time prayer that changed my life around 180 degree (an extreme change of life) She perhaps does not even know what that prayer did for me but I can testify prayer changes things. I am telling you no pastor, no preacher, no decon, no lay person has ever prayed with the direct authority to manifest a reaction to a situation that has ever changed things directly in my life. It was this lady, my friend, my sister Floreta.

In days to come I would meet 2 more of my  friends to be, Beloved Belinda and my Joyful Jolene, these ladies have been my support system. My gift from God. With God's help Floreta brought us together. I am thankful, for now we consider each other family. I am happy again and enjoying the Journey with my new family of sisters -- Beth L.
